About

Dear Blogosphere,

You may wonder why I feel the need to create a blog since everyone and their mom already has a blog. How many blogs does the world really need?!? However, my desire to create a blog springs from a desire the mitigate the affects of graduate school withdrawal. I graduated from Simmons College with an M.A. in Gender/Cultural Studies in May of 2012. Re-entering the real world has been a bit of a drag! I miss sitting around with peers contemplating complex theories and problematizing the hell out of everything.

Without that kind of an outlet for my frustrations with the pervasiveness of racism, classism, sexism, ableism (you get the idea), sometimes I feel like my head is going to explode! So instead of yelling at the television and talking my wife's ear off about how horrifying and inappropriate even well-meaning people's comments often are, I decided to start a blog.

So, a bit more about me. I graduated from Wellesley College with a B.A. in Women's Studies. I live in Boston and my wife and I have an adorable dog named Louis. I LOVE to dance...and my favorite color is yellow.
